Superhero Theme Song Lesson One

Hi Eric Harvie Superheroes!

This week is going to be dedicated to creating your own theme song!  Every day I will have a new lesson for you that adds to the one from the day before.  In the end you should be able to create a fabulous theme song for your superhero identity!

Step one: Watch the video of me explaining the activity!

Step two: you will need a piece of paper / visual journal and something to write/draw with

Step three: Divide your paper into 4 sections.  I have shown you one was to do that in the video but
there are other ways. Write the numbers 1-4, one number per section.

Step four: Listen to Song number one -  In section one, using pictures or words...
                        1. What are the dynamics (volume) - quiet (piano), loud (forte) or a mixture
                        2. What instruments do you hear?
                        3. What is the tempo (speed) of the piece? -fast (presto) or slow (largo) or somewhere
                                   in between
                        4. What do you like about this piece - what makes it suitable for a hero?

Step five: repeat step four for the other three songs filling in the remaining sections.

Step six: Look at all 4 sections and figure out what they have in common!

Here are your 4 songs:

Flash Theme Song:
WonderWoman Theme:

Batman:

Supergirl:
